Senior BCM Consultant – Business Continuity & Operational Resilience

Duration: 2 months | Start date: November 2026 | Location: Île-de-France | Daily rate: Based on experience

We are looking for a Senior Consultant Business Continuity Management (BCM) to support a major player in the insurance sector in strengthening its business continuity and operational resilience system, particularly with regard to regulatory requirements DORA.

Context

In a context of increasing maturity of its business continuity system, our client wishes to strengthen its operational management capacity and accelerate the implementation of its various BCM projects.

The consultant will work across the board with business, IT, Risk teams and various stakeholders involved in the project.

Roles and responsibilities

1. Business Continuity – BIA / PCA. 

• Prepare and support Business Impact Analysis (BIA) campaigns.
• Identify and analyze critical activities and their business, IT and third-party dependencies.
• Review and challenge Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and contingency plans.
• Verify the consistency of continuity requirements and the quality of deliverables.
• Identify the gaps and propose the necessary remedial actions.

2. Operational management and remediation

• Manage the BCM share portfolio and monitor it until closure.
• Coordinate remediation actions resulting from tests, exercises, incidents, crises and audits.
• Contribute to the improvement of recovery and resilience mechanisms.
• Monitor the progress of the various projects and identify any obstacles.
• Formulate recommendations and proposals for arbitration.

3. Governance and reporting

• Prepare the BCM governance bodies.
• Consolidate monitoring indicators and dashboards.
• Produce reporting materials and prepare decisions.
• Monitor commitments and action plans.
• Contribute to regulatory work and the continuous improvement of the system.

Skills & profile sought

• Expertise in business continuity and risk management.
• Proficiency in BIA methodologies and PCA systems.
• Practical experience in managing and implementing BCM systems.
• Ability to challenge professions and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong skills in managing action plans and governance.
• Knowledge of DORA requirements and operational resilience.
• Experience in crisis management and organization of business continuity tests.
• Knowledge of regulated environments, particularly in the insurance sector.
• Professional English.
• Autonomy and execution capacity.
• Rigour, analytical mind and ability to synthesize.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to bring stakeholders together.
• Advisory stance and ability to formulate operational recommendations.
