Technical Accountant - Insurance - Closing of Accounts

Duration: 6 months fixed | Start date: October 2026 | Location: Paris | Daily rate: based on experience

We are looking for a Technical Accountant, Insurance on behalf of one of our clients in the insurance sector, as part of the closing of the 2026 accounts.

Context

The mission aims to strengthen the expertise of the existing accounting teams in order to secure the closing work, guarantee the quality of deliverables and respect regulatory and internal deadlines.

Roles and responsibilities

• Participate in the annual accounting closing work for 2026.
• Providing expertise in technical insurance accounting: contributions, benefits and provisions.
• Contribute to the reliability of accounting data and the quality of financial statements.
• Analyze accounting issues and propose appropriate solutions.
• Produce and formalize the expected deliverables.
• Participate in follow-up meetings and collaborate with accounting and business teams.

Skills & profile sought

You possess the following skills:

• Minimum 7 years of experience, ideally more, in accounting in the insurance sector.
• Solid expertise in technical accounting insurance and in fence accounts.
• Good understanding of accounting mechanisms related to contributions, benefits and provisions.
• Proven experience in decree work and annual closing.
• Analytical skills, autonomy and ability to solve complex accounting problems.
