Banking Accounting Consultant – IFRS / FINREP – Finistère

Duration: 5 months (minimum) | Start date: November 2026 | Location: Finistère | Daily rate: based on experience

For one of our clients, major player in the banking sectorwe are looking for a Experienced Bank Accounting Consultant in order to strengthen a team responsible for bookkeeping, accounting production and associated controls.

Context

You will be working within an accounting department responsible for the production, analysis and first-level control, in accordance with French and IFRS standards.

The mission notably covers the work of closing, the production of regulatory reports as well as the support of business lines and subsidiaries on their accounting issues.

Roles and responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Take charge of the work related to accounts statements in accordance with French standards and IFRS.
• Ensure the quality and analysis of IFRS data, particularly through the resolution of controls and analytical reviews.
• Carry out the FINREP reporting on an individual basis in accordance with IFRS standards.
• Check and validate the Financial statements in accordance with French standards.
• Participate in the preparation of the various legal deliverables.
• Contribute to the supervision of the work with the auditors.
• Carry out the level 1 accounting controls, in particular level 1b controls relating to the justification of accounts.
• Analyze and write the accounting methods according to French standards.
• Supporting business lines and subsidiaries with their accounting needs and issues.

Required Skills

• Solid experience in bank accounting.
• Excellent command of French standards and IFRS.
• Experience with the processes ofclosing of accounts and accounting justification.
• Good knowledge of FINREP reporting.
• Mastery of the devices of first-level accounting control.
• Ability to analyze and formalize accounting schemes.
• Ability to work with business stakeholders, subsidiaries, Finance and external auditors.
• Autonomy, rigor and strong analytical skills.

A significant experience within a banking institution is indispensable.
