Senior Project Manager – Capacity Management IT – CIB / Global Markets

For one of our clients, a major player in the banking sector, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager to manage a strategic project IT Capacity Management within an environment CIB / Global Markets.

Context

As part of a program to transform and strengthen control of its IT environments, our client wishes to structure and industrialize its Capacity Management system.

The scope notably covers the applications, infrastructure, technical platforms, databases and production environments.

The challenge is to evolve the organization towards a more proactive management of capacity and performance: improved monitoring, anticipation of needs related to business volumes, formalization of governance and implementation of robust Capacity Planning and Capacity Testing mechanisms.

The consultant will assume overall responsibility for the project and will coordinate the various teams involved.

Roles and responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage the Capacity Management project from start to finish and coordinate the different streams;
• Structure the governance model and clearly define the roles and responsibilities of the teams involved;
• Formalize the policies, procedures, workflows and RACI associated with Capacity Management;
• Establish and facilitate governance bodies and capacity reviews;
• Ensure the management of planning, risks, alerts, dependencies and action plans;
• Coordinate the evolution of the production monitoring system;
• Define with the technical teams the KPIs to monitor in particular volumes, capacities, performance, CPU consumption and alert thresholds;
• Manage the implementation of dashboards and data collection and consolidation mechanisms;
• Structure the monitoring and analysis of incidents related to capacity issues;
• Deploy a proactive approach to Capacity Planning, in particular based on volume projections and expected changes in activity;
• Coordinate the definition and deployment of a strategy for Capacity Testing ;
• Contributing to the consideration of capacity and performance issues in the SLA / SLO.

Required Skills

The ideal candidate combines a solid experience in managing IT programs in CIB / financial markets with an operational understanding of the issues of IT monitoring, production, capacity and performance.

• Significant and demonstrable experience in a CIB / Global Markets / financial markets environment
• Proven experience in the management of complex IT projects within these environments
• Practical experience with issues of IT application and/or production monitoring
• Good command of the subjects of Capacity & Performance Management
• Ability to understand and challenge technical stakeholders on application, infrastructure and production issues
• Experience in structuring governance frameworks: policies, procedures, workflows, RACI matrix, committees and performance indicators
• Excellent ability to coordinate across teams in environments involving multiple teams
• Good understanding of the principles of IT service governance and management, with knowledge ofITIL v4 appreciated
• Professional level in English
