Banking Regulatory Expert – FINREP, Asset Encumbrance & ALMM

Duration: 2 months (scoping) + implementation (to be defined) | Start date: ASAP | Location: Paris | Daily rate: based on experience

We are looking for a Project Manager / Banking Standards Expert for a scoping mission concerning reporting FINREP, Asset Encumbrance and ALMM.

Context

As part of a regulatory transformation project within a major player in the banking sector, the objective is to analyze regulatory requirements, assess their impact on existing processes and systems, and define the work necessary for their implementation.

Roles and responsibilities

1. Normative and regulatory analysis

• Analyze and interpret EBA regulatory requirements relating to FINREP, Asset Encumbrance and ALMM.
• Identify regulatory developments and their consequences on reporting systems.
• Formalize regulatory requirements and associated management rules.

2. Functional framework and impact analysis

• Conduct an inventory of existing processes, data, tools and production chains.
• Identify the gaps between the existing situation and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate the business, functional and IT impacts.
• Define compliance scenarios and formulate recommendations.
• Identify the development needs and the work to be undertaken.

3. Framing Control

• Organize and lead workshops with the Finance, Risk and IT teams.
• Coordinate stakeholders and manage the progress of the work.
• Structure the deliverables and secure the deadlines.
• Develop an implementation roadmap: projects, priorities, workload, schedule and dependencies.

Required Skills

• Senior consultant with a Proven expertise in FINREP, Asset Encumbrance and ALMM.
• Excellent command of the analysis and interpretation of European prudential standards.
• Significant experience in framing banking regulatory projects.
• Ability to translate normative requirements into operational and IT impacts.
• Strong skills in Business Analysis: data analysis, processes, business rules and functional specifications.
• Experience in managing cross-functional projects involving the Finance, Risk and IT departments.
• Autonomy, analytical skills and the ability to produce impactful deliverables within short timeframes.
