Expert in Prudential Regulation

We are looking for an Expert in Prudential Banking Regulation on behalf of one of our banking clients based in Paris.

Context
As part of an ambitious transformation program for Finance and Risk functions, our client is launching the CRR3/Basel IV project. This project aims to ensure compliance of activities with current regulatory obligations. The project encompasses several projects, notably the EU Taxonomy, Pillar 3 ESG, Sustainability Reporting, etc., thus impacting several entities of the bank, in particular the "Regulatory Accounting Consolidation" department and the "Risk and Strategy Strategy" cell. Consolidation", as well as the Risk teams.

 

Description of the Mission
Following the launch of the regulatory project, we are looking for an independent consultant to provide their business expertise. The main missions include:

  • Analyze the CRR3 texts, both on Pillar 1 (Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Market Risk) and on Pillar 3, with an emphasis on ESG issues.
  • Define methodologies for applying texts and document interpretations, while supporting the upgrade of procedures and processing platforms.
  • Develop a scoping note to identify the scope, processes and impacted applications.

 

Service Expectations
The consultant must:

  • Provide normative support on Pillar 1 and Pillar 3 (including Pillar 3 ESG) and draft regulatory needs expressions.
  • Provide precise insight into the developments to be anticipated and the state of market discussions, while helping to implement new regulatory needs.
  • Respond to requests for clarification of prudential texts.
  • Define methodologies for applying texts and document interpretations.
  • Drive change by proposing simple and effective solutions in collaboration with operational teams.

 

Required Skills

We are looking for a consultant with:

  • Solid experience in prudential regulation, particularly on CRR3, EBA ITS/RTS, and the implementation of sustainable finance regulations (CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy, Pillar 3 ESG).
  • Autonomy, curiosity, taking initiative and ability to propose adapted solutions.
  • Ability to construct a solid argument based on available information.
  • Analytical mind, dynamism, excellent synthesis and writing skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and excellent interpersonal skills.
