Market Product Accounting Consultant – Murex / Summit – Bank
Duration: 3 months (renewable) | Start date: September 1, 2026 | Location: Paris | Daily rate: based on experience
As part of a Front-to-Back systems transformation program for a large banking institution, we are looking for an experienced consultant to support the replacement of the Summit OTC/TCI platform by Murex and the associated market product accounting work.
Context
The mission is part of a context of tool migration, securing accounting statements and reconciling management and accounting data on Fixed Income, ALM and Loan Trading activities.
Roles and responsibilities
- Participate in the collection and analysis of needs related to the deployment of Murex.
- Define the principles of accounting modeling in the new architecture.
- Contribute to the acceptance testing of accounting data feeds and interfaces.
- Perform reconciliations between balance sheet, off-balance sheet and P&L.
- Supporting the initial accounting entries after the switchover to Murex.
- Reconcile management data with accounting data.
- Monitor accounting results and analyze discrepancies.
- Justify the differences between accounting standards (French GAAP / IFRS).
- Ensure the monitoring of internal operations and the justification of the balance of responsibilities.
- Participate in streamlining controls and securing the accounting system.
Required Skills
- Significant experience in bank accounting applied to market products.
- Good knowledge of interest rate products, Fixed Income, ALM and/or Loan Trading.
- Experience in migration projects or implementation of Front-to-Back platforms.
- Proficiency in accounting reconciliation issues, P&L and balance sheet/off-balance sheet reconciliations.
- Good knowledge of banking accounting standards (French GAAP and IFRS).
- Murex experience highly appreciated.
- Knowledge of Summit OTC/TCI is a real asset.
- Ability to operate in a demanding environment, in conjunction with the Finance, IT and Front Office teams.
