Senior Banking Accounting Consultant

Duration: 5 months (minimum) | Start date: November 2026 | Location: Paris | Daily rate: based on experience

We are looking for a Senior Bank Accountant on behalf of one of our banking clients as part of a project to strengthen account management and accounting production activities.

Context

Within an accounting department, you will be involved in activities such as production, analysis and first-level control, in accordance with French and IFRS standardsYou will contribute in particular to financial statement preparation and auditing. as well as supporting the business lines and subsidiaries with their accounting issues.

Roles and responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• To handle the work related to closing the accounts.
• Ensure the quality control and analysis of IFRS data.
• Resolve controls and perform analytical reviews.
• Prepare FINREP reports on an individual basis in accordance with IFRS standards.
• Control and validate financial statements in accordance with French standards.
• Participate in the production of legal deliverables.
• Contribute to the monitoring and supervision of the audit work of the statutory auditors.
• Perform first-level accounting controls, including level 1b controls relating to the justification of accounts.
• Analyze and draft accounting schemes in accordance with French standards.
• Supporting business lines and subsidiaries with their accounting needs and issues.

Required Skills

• Minimum 8 years of experience in accounting.
• Strong expertise in bank accounting.
• Solid mastery of accounting procedures, production and control.
• Good knowledge of French standards and IFRS.
• Knowledge of FINREP reporting.
• Ability to analyze and formalize accounting schemes.
• Ability to interact with business teams, subsidiaries and auditors.
• Autonomy and rigor in carrying out assigned tasks.

A significant experience within a banking institution is indispensable.
