Senior Consultant - Fund Sequestration & Accounting Reconciliations – Payments Environment / PSP
Duration: 3 months renewable | Start date: ASAP | Location: Paris | Daily rate: max €800
We are looking for a senior consultant specializing in earmarking of funds and accounting reconciliations in the context of complex payment flows on behalf of a payment service provider.
You will be providing support to the Finance/Operations teams to secure, improve the reliability and optimize processes related to client funds, in a highly regulated environment.
Roles and responsibilities
- Analyze the current processes for segregating funds and reconciling accounting records with funds received.
- Review the accounting methods associated with payment flows (receipts, refunds, segregated funds, etc.)
- Implement or optimize the processes and controls for reconciling accounting, payment tools, and bank accounts.
- Identify gaps, propose action plans and monitor their implementation
- Documenting procedures, operating methods and controls (SOPs, guidelines)
- Contribute to the preparation of audits (internal, external, ACPR)
Required Skills
- You justify 7–10 years of experience minimum environmental impact:
- Payment service provider, payment institution / electronic money, fintech payments
- or Banking/financial services with high exposure to complex payment flows and reconciliations
- Excellent command of fund segregation process (client funds vs. equity)
- Excellent command of accounting reconciliations related to financial flows
- Good understanding of regulatory issues in payments (ACPR, DSP, protection of user funds)
- Comfortable in changing/structuring environments, capable of moving from analysis to hands-on operations
