Banking Accounting Consultant

Accounting, Tax & Regulatory Reporting Production

Duration: Minimum 6 months | Start date: ASAP / early January 2026 | Location: Paris | Daily rate: Based on experience

We are looking for a bank accounting consultant on behalf of one of our banking clients as part of a project to strengthen the accounting and regulatory production system.

Context

Our client wishes to strengthen its internal system in order to secure and improve the reliability of bank accounting production process of tax production and regulatory accounting reporting (RUBA).
In an operational support context, the consultant will intervene at the heart of the Finance teams in order to provide direct support to production as well as a benchmark of practices to optimize existing processes.

Roles and responsibilities

• Participate in the monthly and quarterly bank accounting production.
• Contribute to tax production and compliance with associated reporting requirements.
• To carry out and ensure the reliability of regulatory accounting reporting (RUBA).
• Analyze current processes, identify areas for improvement and propose concrete optimizations.
• To provide an operational benchmark based on best practices in the banking sector.
• Participate in closing procedures and monitoring of accounting files.
• Provide operational support to internal teams during busy periods.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in bank accountingideally in an environment of production.
• Excellent command of accounting, tax and banking regulatory processes (including RUBA).
• Strong appetite for production operational and the resolution of concrete problems.
• Ability to propose process improvements based on industry benchmarking.
• Rigour, autonomy, analytical skills and the ability to work in a demanding environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with various stakeholders in the finance department.
