Bank accounting consultant – Closing and production of annual accounts

Duration: 7 months renewable | Start: early November 2025 | Location: Paris | Daily rate: according to profiles

We are looking for a consultant experienced bank accountant on behalf of one of our clients in the banking sector, as part of a projectoperational assistance in the production of annual accounts and management of accounting closures.
The consultant will work on a scope including the entire balance sheet, interacting with the accounting teams and internal controllers, in a demanding context in terms of reliability, analysis and compliance with regulatory deadlines.

Roles and responsibilities

• Participate in annual and periodic closing work (production and accounting of data linked to internal transfers, monitoring of Participations activity, etc.)
• Guarantee the reliability of accounting data according to French and Belgian standards
• Carry out second-level controls, as part of the general process of closing accounts
• Produce detailed analyses of the entity's results
• Contribute to the production of the annual report and responses to internal and external controllers
• Participate in the preparation of consolidation packages (French standards)
• Carry out tests and acceptance tests as part of the current project

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years' experience in activities accounting control and closing, ideally in a banking environment
• In-depth knowledge of French accounting standards applicable to credit institutions – essential
• Mastery of market operations (securities, derivatives, repos, etc.) – an asset
• Very good ability to produce, control and analyze annual accounts
• Comfortable with processing large volumes of accounting data
• Proficiency in office tools (Excel in particular)
• Knowledge of SAP FC – a plus
