IT Program Director – Mainframe Exit

Duration: 12 months renewable | Start date: ASAP | Location: Paris | Daily rate: Based on experience

We are looking for a consultant IT Program Manager – Exit Mainframe on behalf of one of our clients in the financial sector as part of an IT transformation project aimed at moving away from Mainframe environments.

Context

As part of a strategic information system transformation program, our client wishes to undertake a large-scale mainframe exit project. This structuring program involves a significant cross-functional coordination, major operational challenges and direct exposure to management bodies.
We are looking for a Experienced Program Directorcapable of managing this type of complex transformation in a demanding environment.

Roles and responsibilities

• Manage the Exit Mainframe program from start to finish (scoping, governance, execution, performance management)
• Define and implement program governance (committees, reporting, monitoring indicators)
• Coordinate the various stakeholders (IT teams, business units, external partners)
• Ensuring control of risks, deadlines, costs and quality
• Presenting the program to sponsors and governing bodies, with direct COO-type exposure
• Ensure the program is aligned with the client's overall transformation strategy

Skills & profile sought

• Proven experience in managing complex IT programs (15 years or more of experience)
• Solid expertise in Mainframe environments and the issues related to their transformation or replacement
• Ability to progress to an executive level and interact with general management/COO
• Strong ability to manage, structure, and make decisions
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• No specific sector knowledge required (banking/insurance not essential)

Mission Details

• Duration: several semesters (long-term assignment, renewable depending on the suitability of the profile)
• Start date: as soon as possible
• Location: Paris
• Presence: Minimum 4 days on site per week
