Market Risk Consultant
Duration: Minimum 1 year | Start date: ASAP | Location: Paris | Daily rate: Based on experience
We are looking for a consultant Market Risk on behalf of one of our banking clients as part of a market risk management project.
Context
You will work within the Market Risk teams, interacting directly with the Front Office teams. The consultant will be responsible for coordinate multiple stakeholders (Quant, Traded Risks, Finance) and to contribute to work related to the evolution of market activities and regulatory issues.
Roles and responsibilities
- Coordinate internal teams (Quant, Traded Risks, Finance) on market risk topics.
- Anticipate the risk impacts related to new applications and product developments.
- Contribute to the coordination of ECB inspections (IMM, SA CVA…).
- Leading the implementation of new market products (Equity, FX, Repos, Reverse Repos).
- Provide regular reporting to senior management: issues, progress, alerts, points of blockage.
- Challenging stakeholders and circulating information effectively in a demanding environment.
Required Skills
- 5 to 7 years of project management experience within the investment bank / market activities.
- Good knowledge of market risks (A "knowledgeable" profile is required, not a quantitative expert).
- Understanding market products : Equity, FX, Repos, Reverse Repos.
- Proficiency in cross-functional coordination, ability to challenge and assert oneself within expert teams.
- Excellent communication skills, sense of urgency, ability to escalate alerts.
- English professional (fluent).
