
IFRS Accounting Standards Consultant – Regulatory Support (Banking)
Duration: Minimum 3 months | Start date: Early January 2026 | Location: Brest & TT | Daily rate: Depending on experience
We are looking for 2 IFRS accounting standards consultants on behalf of one of our banking clients as part of a project to strengthen IFRS accounting standards support.
Context
In a context of strong business momentum, our client is facing a large volume of accounting questions requiring rapid and technically sound processing.
To strengthen the Accounting Standards team, we are looking for two consultants for operational normative assistance missions.
Roles and responsibilities
The consultants will work within the Accounting Standards team to provide operational support, particularly on:
- The handling of IFRS accounting questions submitted by the Group's establishments and departments.
- The analysis, reinterpretation and harmonization of existing accounting positions.
- The creation of new normative analyses as needed.
- Intervention on IFRS topics related to loans, deposits and market operations.
- The production of standardized responses from an internal format and in accordance with the Group's documentation and accounting principles.
- (For need #2) Possible participation in related work, including the management of the chart of accounts.
Required Skills
Need #1 – Start date: mid-January
- Experienced consultant (minimum 5 years) in IFRS accounting standards applied to banking sector.
- Expertise in the following areas: credit, deposits, market operations.
- Strong ability to analyze, document and formalize accounting positions.
- Proficiency in providing operational regulatory support and processing requests at a high rate.
Need #2 – Start date: early March
- Intermediate consultant (3 to 5 years of experience) in IFRS banking accounting standards.
- Ability to address the same topics as need #1 with an intermediate level of technical expertise.
- Interest in related work: management and updating of the chart of accounts.
Mission Details
- Location: Brest (on-site presence preferred) + partial teleworking possible.

- Need #1: Mid-January (ASAP)
- Need #2: early March
- Duration :
- Need #1: initial mission of 2 to 3 months, renewable depending on internal recruitment.
- Need #2: mission of 3 months or more, depending on the workload and progress of the work.
- Full time (flexible depending on consultant availability).
- Status: freelance / independent
