Insurance Accounting / IFRS Standards (IFRS 8 project)

We are looking for a consultant with a expertise in insurance accounting and IFRS standards as part of an IFRS 8 project within a player in the insurance sector. The consultant will work full-time on a long-term project (7 months), within a Finance team.
Roles and responsibilities
- Participate in the operational implementation of the requirements of IFRS 8 (operating segments)
- Contribute to the analysis, production or review of sector financial statements in relation to IFRS 8
- Ensure consistency between accounting, analytical and management data
- Interact with accounting, financial and business departments to gather needs and validate feedback
- Support teams in documentation, process review, and work on decisions related to the new IFRS scopes
- Contribute to the work of reliability, justification of accounts and improvement of closing procedures
Required Skills
- Solid expertise in insurance accounting and IFRS standards, in particular IFRS 8, IFRS 9 or IFRS 17
- Proven experience in production of consolidated accounts, regulatory reporting (FINREP, Solvency 2), or accounting transformation projects
- Proficiency in tools such as SAP BFC, S4HANA, GP3, advanced Excel
- Ability to produce, analyze and justify complex accounting statements
- Knowledge of the sector insurance is essential
