Accounting for Market Transactions - Banking

Duration: 6 months renewable | Start: September 2025 | Location: Paris | Daily rate: max €600

We are looking for a highly experienced consultant to join the team Market Accounting of one of our banking clients based in Paris as a temporary reinforcement. The mission will begin in September and will focus on the production and accounting control of operations processed on financial markets.

Roles and responsibilities

The consultant will work on the following tasks (non-exhaustive list):

• Accounting, control and justification of financial instruments traded on the markets;
• Verification of the correct accounting of complex transactions: Interest rate swaps, cross currency swaps, repos, tri-party repos, deposits, negotiable certificates of deposit (CDN), FX spot and FX forward transactions, government-guaranteed issues, pledges;
• Control of XVA records on collateralized or non-collateralized deals;
• Control of foreign exchange positions and hedging relationships;
• Accounting for collective provisions and past due amounts;
• Carrying out accounting/management reconciliations;
• Carrying out banking controls.

Required Skills

• Minimum 10 years' experience in accounting production on financial market operations in a banking environment;
• Solid mastery of the financial instruments listed above;
• Autonomy, rigor, ability to interact with back office, management and internal audit teams;
• Knowledge of banking accounting standards (IFRS, French GAAP desired).

Target daily rate: around €600 excluding VAT/day depending on profile
