Senior Consultant \/ Manager \u2013 Electronic Payments, ACS & 3-D Secure<\/h1>\n

Duration: 6 months | Start date: September 14, 2026 | Location: Paris | Daily rate: Based on experience<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\nWe are looking for a Senior Consultant\/Manager specializing in electronic banking, e-commerce authentication and payments<\/strong> on behalf of one of our banking clients as part of an audit project of a strong e-commerce authentication system.\n

 <\/p>\n

Context<\/strong><\/p>\n

The mission focuses specifically on theanalysis of an ACS device<\/strong> (Access Control Server) and its interactions with 3-D Secure pathways<\/strong>, L'cardholder authentication and fraud scoring mechanisms<\/strong>The consultant will intervene in support of the mission's experts to analyze the system, collect evidence and formalize findings and recommendations.<\/p>\n

The scope is focused on the ACS system and associated processes, without an exhaustive review of the entire payment chain.<\/p>\n

Roles and responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

Your responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Analyze the audited ACS system and its interactions with the 3-D Secure pathways.<\/li>\n
  • Study the mechanisms of strong authentication and cardholder authentication.<\/li>\n
  • Analyze the interactions between authentication, fraud scoring and customer journey.<\/li>\n
  • Participate in interviews with the payment processing, business, fraud, risk and IT teams.<\/li>\n
  • Analyze the available processes, controls, procedures and documentation.<\/li>\n
  • Contribute to the information for the audit repository relating to the e-commerce authentication system.<\/li>\n
  • Collect and analyze the evidence necessary for the audit work.<\/li>\n
  • Participate in risk analysis and the identification of areas requiring attention.<\/li>\n
  • Formalize the observations, findings and recommendations resulting from the work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Required Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Ideally, you have:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Main area of expertise: Electronic payments, ACS, 3-D Secure and e-commerce authentication<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • Proven expertise in electronic banking and card payments.<\/li>\n
    • Good understanding of e-commerce payment processes.<\/li>\n
    • Mastery of strong authentication (SCA) mechanisms.<\/li>\n
    • Solid knowledge of 3-D Secure (3DS).<\/li>\n
    • Good understanding of the role and operation of an ACS (Access Control Server).<\/li>\n
    • Understanding the interactions between authentication, fraud scoring and customer journey.<\/li>\n
    • Knowledge of SCA exemptions and anti-fraud mechanisms.<\/li>\n
    • Good knowledge of the actors and processes in the payment chain.<\/li>\n
    • Experience in a banking, payments or financial services environment.<\/li>\n
    • Sensitivity to regulatory and security issues related to payments.<\/li>\n
    • Ability to analyze control mechanisms and evidence.<\/li>\n
    • Critical thinking and strong analytical and synthesis skills.<\/li>\n
    • Proficient in conducting interviews and document analysis.<\/li>\n
    • Ability to formalize findings and recommendations in a clear and structured manner.<\/li>\n
    • Experience in auditing, internal control, risk management or inspection is an asset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
