Payments Experts (Banking Sector \u2013 Dubai)<\/h2>\nDuration<\/strong> : 6 months | Start date<\/strong> : May 2025 | Location<\/strong> : Dubai | TJM<\/strong> : According to experience We are looking for 2 freelance experts specializing in payments<\/strong> to accompany a major bank in Dubai<\/strong>, in strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing and modernizing their payment systems and operations.
The roles require in-depth expertise across different payment types (SWIFT, SEPA, Instant Payments, Cards, Corporate Payments) as well as an ability to drive process improvement, regulatory compliance and innovation of payment products and services.\nDescription of the Mission<\/strong>
Our client, a major regional bank committed to digital innovation and operational excellence, is undertaking a major modernization of its payment platforms.
Experts will provide strategic know-how to optimize payment product offerings, ensure regulatory compliance, and improve operational efficiency.\nGoals<\/strong>\n
    \n
  • \nStrengthen expertise on different types of payments\n<\/li>\n
  • \nEnsure regulatory compliance (CBUAE, FATF standards, etc.)\n<\/li>\n
  • \nSupporting digital innovation in payments\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nResponsibilities<\/strong>\nPayments & Consulting Expertise<\/strong>\n
      \n
    • \nProvide expertise on end-to-end processes regarding SWIFT, SEPA, Instant Payments, Card Payments (Visa\/Mastercard) and Corporate Cash Management solutions.\n<\/li>\n
    • \nAdvise on optimization strategies for Retail and Corporate payments.\n<\/li>\n
    • \nContribute to the definition of roadmaps for the modernization of payments.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nRegulatory Compliance & Risk Management<\/strong>\n
        \n
      • \nEnsure compliance with local regulations (Central Bank of the UAE \u2013 CBUAE), ISO 20022, PSD2, AML, and sanctions requirements.\n<\/li>\n
      • \nIdentify gaps and propose corrective action plans.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nProcess Improvement & Innovation<\/strong>\n

        • \nAnalyze existing payment processes and recommend improvements.\n<\/li>\n
        • \nParticipate in the design of digital and real-time payment products.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nStakeholder Collaboration and Engagement<\/strong>\n
            \n
          • \nWork closely with business management, product managers, IT teams and regulatory teams.\n<\/li>\n
          • \nLead strategic workshops and sessions, and formalize associated deliverables.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nDeliverables<\/strong>\n
              \n
            • \nPayments Modernization Strategy\n<\/li>\n
            • \nGap analysis reports and action plans\n<\/li>\n
            • \nRegulatory Compliance Assessments\n<\/li>\n
            • \nRecommendations for operational and digital improvement\n<\/li>\n
            • \nSupport during testing and production phases\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nRequired Skills<\/strong>\n
                \n
              • \nMinimum 8 years of experience in the field of banking payments or financial services\n<\/li>\n
              • \nExcellent command of the following systems and processes:\n
                  \n
                • \nSWIFT Payments\n<\/li>\n
                • \nSEPA and cross-border payments\n<\/li>\n
                • \nInstant payments and domestic RTGS\n<\/li>\n
                • \nCard payments (issuing and acquiring)\n<\/li>\n
                • \nCash Management Solutions for Businesses\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
                • \nGood knowledge of the regulatory context in the Emirates (CBUAE, FATF, PSD2, ISO 20022)\n<\/li>\n
                • \nExcellent consulting, stakeholder management and communication skills\n<\/li>\n
                • \nAbility to work independently while aligning with strategic objectives\n<\/li>\n
