Second level accounting control \u2013 Bank \u2013 IFRS \/ French GAAP<\/h2>\n

Duration: 1 year | Start: early May 2025 | Location: Paris | Daily rate: max \u20ac700<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\nWe are looking for a consultant in accounting control<\/strong> for one of our clients in the banking sector, based in Paris. The mission aims to ensure the second level accounting control<\/strong> and to strengthen the quality and effectiveness of the control environment.
\nThe consultant will intervene both on regular controls (closing of accounts, preparation of financial statements) and on ad hoc reviews (audit of accounting processes).\n

 <\/p>\n

Roles and responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Implement second level accounting control according to the defined control plan.<\/li>\n
  • Carry out sample checks to assess the quality of accounting processes across the entire scope (holding and affiliated entities).<\/li>\n
  • Check consistency between accounting standards, records and supporting documents.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure monitoring and updating of accounting risk mapping.<\/li>\n
  • Manage the financial statement justification process and propose corrective actions if necessary.<\/li>\n
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of controls, process documentation and the quality of accounting production.<\/li>\n
  • Participate in cross-functional projects (IFRS 9 compliance, outsourcing, automation, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Required Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Proven experience (7 years or more) in accounting control or financial audit in the banking sector.<\/li>\n
    • In-depth mastery of IFRS and French GAAP standards.<\/li>\n
    • Good knowledge of the banking control environment and accounting regulations.<\/li>\n
    • Analytical and synthetic mindset, rigor and ability to formulate clear recommendations.<\/li>\n
    • Excellent writing skills in French and English.<\/li>\n
    • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work across different teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
